“ I love this place. My wife and I tried both empanadas and the dessert pastry whose name Ive forgotten. The outer pastry of the empanadas has a nice crunchy outer layer and softer inner layer. Its lightly sweet with a hint of cinnamon. The beef my fave is a really nice mix of beef, onion, and a bit of potato, very well spiced. Flavor wise, it reminded me a lot of Portos potato balls. Sorry if its poor form to compare one restaurant to another, but thats what my wife and I agreed it reminded us of. The chicken is also quite good. My first thought tasting it was that this must be what phillipino chicken pot pie tastes like. The final pastry forgot the name is my wifes favorite. It has a sweet honey eggroll type pastry and warm banana inside. Literally the perfect dessert, to have with the empanadas. Its full of flavor but very light, which is good because the empanadas are very rich and filling. Long story longer, try this place out. Not only is it delicious but they are a local family owned small business. You wont regret it. ”
“ While this place does offer regular filipino dishes, those are for catering only and must be ordered ahead. What this place does sell is turon a filipino banana and jackfruit eggroll and filipino empanadas. Thats pretty much it, HOWEVER, this makes it so these are their specialities. There is pretty much nowhere you can get better turon than here. Its just perfect. Not too sticky, the shape is perfect, its crispy, itd delicious, you should buy it. The empanadas are good as well with a good meat to shell ratio and a nice flavor thats not too strong or savory but is delicate on the pallette but the real star at this place is the turon. ”
